Documentary film, as its definition suggests, ”is a broad category of moving pictures intended to document some aspect of reality”. We would like to suggest few “moving pictures” which capture the nature of visual art, graphic design, product design, photography, fashion, architecture, artists and their personal life or process of work, approach to projects, etc., simply everything, which might inspire work we do everyday, the way we think about art, creative process, life, or about artists, that change our opinions and points of view or at least make us stop for a while and realize, that maybe something can be different. It is one of the simplest and many ways, how to understand and see the creative touch and evolving art, because design always goes in its own way. We know, there are plenty of different excellent documentaries, so this first part will bring to your attention 7 of them focusing on design of products, typography, graphic design, advertising & cinematography.
