Based on modern quantum physics, scientists today believe, that we only experience a fraction of the total amount of information potentially available in reality.

“We are living in a world where all we see is the tip of the iceberg. A classical tip of an immense quantum mechanical iceberg” (Hagelin, 2004).

As human beings what we feel and experience is a result of the information we receive through our five senses. As sight is our most influential sense of perceiving the outside world, the animation address and reflect the idea of thought or data and can deepen the experience or feeling which you receive through other senses.

Digital animation can envision, how music or sound might look like. So how do YOU see the music? How would you visualize soundscape created by the sound waves? Does it seem more like an abstract animation, or real world pictures, simple colors or is it a dance? In case you know some interesting also, leave the link in the comments.
And do not forget to play it loud and full screen!!!

Light Drive

Stop motion form and colour, using light painting techniques by Kim Pimmel with sound from Tron Legacy trailers. Every frame is an individually shot photograph with long exposure reaching up to 20 seconds in some cases. For light control was used Arduino via bluetooth to drive a stepper motor. The stepper motor controled the movements of the lights remotely from Processing. The light sources included cold cathode case lights, EL wire, lasers and more. Check out Kim`s Light Studies.
