Zynked RSS Reader for iPhone + iPod Touch.

If you’re anything like me, your day consists of checking your Twitter, your Facebook and your daily RSS feeds. On my iPhone I tend to use TweetDeck, the Facebook App and Byline. That’s not a bad way to go, seeing as they’re all solid apps, but I’ve now got a new app that’s all in one and the best for me as a creative individual.

Enter Zynked- it does all of the above in one app, except for my favourite feature, which lets you view your RSS feeds in a picture only format similar to the Ffffound app, except more versatile. For starters the MONOmoda RSS feed looks fantastic (subscribe *cough* subscribe…).

As a designer I like well made apps. There’s loads of apps on the app store, some are solidly made and others aren’t. Some are stylish at the expense of function whilst others are the opposite. It’s quite rare to find an app that I actually like using (because being a creative person I’m really fussy). Being able to just look at images in an RSS feed (which is what I do anyway) is awesome, so it’s great to finally see it as a dedicated feature. Luckily Zynked is a good balance of both function and style. Sometimes I’ll see something and I’ll want to share it as quickly as possible, but then I have to copy and paste the link from wherever I saw it and the whole thing just becomes more effort than it should be but luckily you can share directly from the app to Facebook or Twitter.

It’s fantastic for us design bloggers, making it faster and more efficient to find and share content (and also creative people-persons hehe). So if you subscribe to lots of Designblogs,  use Twitter, Facebook, RSS readers and like image-based sites like Fffound and Dropular check out Zynked on the app store for an all-in one app reader which turns your feeds into lovely little digital magazines on your iDevice, which is all quite exciting…
