Paula Scher`s first time collected her painted colorful typographic maps of the world in one book. Included are 39 paintings, drawings, prints and environmental installations, including recent commission for New York City’s Queens Metropolitan Campus. Original paintings are huge—as tall (12 feet) and the book presents life-size details, which allows to see layers of hand-painted place names, information and cultural commentary. She started to paint the maps in 1990.
